Homeschool Sawdust and Anvil

In this New Class we are finally combining the woodshop and the blacksmith shop in this epic 2 day class. You will be making a serving style tray and forging handles to go onto their tray. Class begins each day at 10am and ends at 1pm For Ages 12 & up

Day 1: Students will learn some of the basics of woodworking, safety and then glue up their serving tray. While the glue is drying we head over to the Blacksmithing shop with The Urban Forge to begin forging our handles.

Day 2: We will start out back over at the woodshop to continue working on our serving trays cutting, sanding, and finishing. Then it’s back over to the blacksmithing side of the shop to finish the handles and attach them to the tray. When you're all done you will walk away with a handmade item that is sure to blow your parents away.

Classes happen at SoulcraftCle a makerspace located near downtown Cleveland. We ask that if your child is taking the class that the parents remain on site during the entirety of the lesson (don't worry we have wifi for you) This class can also be customized for Scout groups or Youth groups.
