HOMESCHOOL DAY: The "Science of Oysters"
Did you know oysters do much more than make pearls and filter water? These incredible creatures are nature's underwater engineers! Oyster reefs create thriving communities beneath the surface by providing shelter, food, and protection for countless marine species.
Join us for Homeschool Day: The Science of Oysters, presented by Texas Surf Conservancy, and discover how oysters help keep our coastal ecosystems healthy. Through hands-on learning and interactive activities, students will explore concepts like biodiversity, habitat restoration, and the importance of protecting our bays.

• This program is designed for students in grades 1–6.
• Space is limited to enrolled students only.
• Parents and younger or older siblings are welcome to explore the Museum with the purchase of general admission tickets.
• Check-in begins at 10:00 AM.
• Guests arriving more than 15 minutes after the program begins will not be admitted and will not receive a refund or raincheck.
