Homeschool Day, Oct 1st: Dinos & Fossils, Lithification & Geologic Time,

Here’s what to expect for: Dinosaurs, Fossils, Geologic time and chemistry of lithification (1st Thursday, October 1st)
- age 6-8: 11am
- age 9-12: 1pm
- after schoolers (all ages): 530pm
- age 13-adult: 630pm

Everyone mines for fossils and keeps everything they find!
Age 6-8 (Young Explorers) Learn about dinosaurs, fossil types, how they form, get preserved, meteorites, our solar system and volcanoes!
Age 9-12 (Junior Scientists) learn about dinosaur extinction and geologic time. Meteorites, our solar system and how rivers can lead to preservation of life. Students will see a river form in real life with the only "flume" in the country dedicated for kids to explore the topics of geomorphology! Students will learn the chemistry and see how bones convert to rock.
Age 13-adult (Rockhounds) get the full experience, and their class is an evening class and lasts about 1.5 hours. They will go deeper into each of the above topics and the concept of particle settling velocity gets introduced and they will also split shale carbon fossils and keep what they excavate!
What you find is worth more than the class, so the learning is basically free!!!!
