The session is called "Zookeeping 101." The children can expect to have an animal interaction, perform zoo keeping duties, listen to a presentation and create enrichment for a selected animal.
Teenage children are welcome and I'm sure they will enjoy 🙂
We are looking forward to meeting you on the day. Please note that each student must be supervised by one adult. As stated on the website, families with more than one student enrolled should have the same supervising adult for all students in the family (siblings will share one supervising adult in the session). The supervising adult for the family will have free entry into Perth Zoo and will attend the session. Additional adults will not be able to join the session and will pay for entry.
The meeting point for the session will be the School Group Meeting Area. This spot is not shown on the Perth Zoo map, but it is located next to the front entrance on the inside of the zoo, and there is a big sign saying "School Group Meeting Area".
On the day, you may enter Perth Zoo at any time before your session, but please ensure you meet at the School Group Meeting Area 15 minutes before your session to ensure we can sign everyone in and start on time.
Maximum of 20 students with one supervising adult per family
***This event is for children ages 10+
Additional adults and younger siblings cannot attend the Homeschool session but are welcome to explore the Zoo while the session is running.
$25 per student
