Join us on May 22, 2025 at 7PM, for a special program presented by local military historian, Dennis Damiani. Mr. Damiani will recount the tale of a local World War II Forgotten Hero, Homer Anthony, who served and lost his life on the submarine Tang in 1943. Many decades later, his diary was entrusted to Dennis, and it has now been transformed into a newly published book, “Homer Anthony: The Diary of a Navy Sailor”!
Dennis’s book will be available for purchase the night of the program; he will be signing the them before and after his presentation.
This program will be held in person, inside the BHC Museum Auditorium. The cost is $5/BHC Members and $10/Non--Members. The program fee includes admission to the BHC Museum. Light refreshments will be made available for participants at 6:30PM.
Off-street parking is available in the BHC's parking lot, located at 160 Spring Street, Reading, PA 19601.
~About the Speaker~
Dennis Damiani is from Berks County, PA. He is retired from a life of work from various jobs including serving in the United States Air Force. Presently, he is an amateur researcher who enjoys studying the lives of local men and women who served our country during times of war.
