Habitat partners with qualified local families to build and purchase affordable homes. Through our Homeownership Program, we provide the coaching, education, and support to guide you through the home-buying journey.
To be accepted into our program, all applicants, co-applicants, and any adults 18+ years of age who will live in the home must attend a mandatory Homeowner Information Meeting as part of the application process.
🗓️ Meeting Dates & Times:
Saturday, December 5
Monroe County Public Library, Downtown Branch
English: 10:30–11:30 a.m.
Spanish: 12–1 p.m.
Tuesday, December 8
Monroe County Public Library, Southwest Branch
English: 4–5 p.m.
Spanish: 5:30–6:30 p.m.
Applicants must have lived and/or worked in Monroe County for at least one year and meet three important criteria, including a need for housing, an ability to pay an affordable mortgage, and a willingness to partner.
Apply to become a Habitat partner family when the application window opens from January 18–29, 2027.
