About this Event
The Archdiocese of Los Angeles Office of Life, Justice and Peace invites people of all faiths to the Homeless Persons’ Interreligious Memorial on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels (555 West Temple Street, Los Angeles), to honor and remember the lives of our brothers and sisters who have died experiencing homelessness. This year alone, 1,137 people experiencing homelessness have died in Los Angeles. Since 1990, the National Coalition for the Homeless has sponsored National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day, every year on December 21st, the first day of winter and the longest night of the year, to bring attention to this tragedy and to remember those who have died while living without a place to call home.
