Servírujeme vám již devátý ročník letního kina na Pragovce, tentokrát se zastřešujícím tématem Vzájemné výhody. Letos budeme promítat v hale MaxSpace za Permanent Beer Fest každé úterý po setmění. Vstupné zdarma (je možné věnovat dobrovolný příspěvek). Až do začátku projekce můžete navštívit Pragovka Gallery v prodloužené otevírací době. O občerstvení se postará Permanent Beer Fest.

Na severovýchodním okraji Prahy vznikl před deseti lety výjimečný sociální projekt Homeless Blues. Městská část Praha 9 se rozhodla lidi bez domova nevyhánět, ale nabídnout jim šanci: stavební buňky, práci a možnost znovu získat důstojnost. Dokument během jednoho roku sleduje několik obyvatel této komunity. Margitu, která po smrti partnera nachází oporu ve zvířatech; Karla a Martina, pár žijící pod tratí, který se rozhodne pro svatbu; Karla „Truhláře“, talentovaného řemeslníka neschopného odejít z osady; a Hanku s Naďou, dvě ženy budující nový domov pod estakádou. Jejich životy propojuje terénní pracovník Karel Valenta, morální opora celé komunity. Film je tichým portrétem naděje, křehké stability a lidské důstojnosti na okraji společnosti. Jak by vypadala ideální sociální služba, kdyby si ji klienti mohli navrhnout podle svých představ? Tři lidé s dlouhodobou zkušeností s bezdomovectvím, propadávající pomyslným sítem sociálních služeb, a jeden chlapec, co se ještě umí dívat na svět kolem sebe a lidi v něm srdcem.

We’re serving up the ninth edition of the Summer Cinema at Pragovka - this time under the overarching theme of Mutual Benefits. This year, screenings will take place every Tuesday after dark in MaxSpace Hall, located behind the Permanent Beer Fest. Admission is free (voluntary contributions are welcome). Until the screening begins, you are welcome to visit Pragovka Gallery during its extended opening hours. Refreshments will be available from Permanent Beer Fest.
On 8 September we will screen Homeless Blues (70 min).
The film will be screened in its original language with English subtitles.

On the northeastern edge of Prague, a unique social project called Homeless Blues was created ten years ago. The Prague 9 district decided not to push people experiencing homelessness away, but instead to offer them a chance: modular housing units, work opportunities, and the possibility of regaining dignity. The documentary follows several residents of this community over the course of one year: Margita, who finds support in animals after the death of her partner; Karel and Martin, a couple living under the railway tracks who decide to get married; Karel “the Carpenter,” a skilled craftsman unable to leave the settlement; and Hanka and Naďa, two women building a new home under a highway overpass. Their lives are connected by outreach worker Karel Valenta, the moral support of the entire community.
