MORE ABOUT SEAN SKI
Hailing from the small town of Connellsville, Pennsylvania, an hour south of Pittsburgh, Sean Ski is an Alternative Hip Hop Artist who expresses his autobiographical, emotive content by blending his influences of Rap, Pop/Rock and R&B/Soul. Ski got his start in music in the summer of 2008 and quickly made an impact on the local music scene by winning WAMO’s Battle of the Beats and releasing the anthem track, "It’s A Burgh Thing," with now megastar, Wiz Khalifa. Sean would then release his first and only mixtape, hosted by Nu Jerzey Devil, in the following year. Shortly after, Ski would go on a 9-year hiatus, citing personal reasons from the birth of his twins to severe medical issues. He would return to music as a therapeutic outlet in 2018 with the single release, "I-376." This time around he took it much more seriously as a career choice. Since then, Ski has released several singles that have streamed very well along with being featured in numerous publications. Sean has shared the stage with many Hip Hop heavyweights such as Cam’ron and Freddie Gibbs to acclaimed Rock acts like Chris Barron of Spin Doctors and Scott Blasey of The Clarks.
Ski’s debut album, entitled Processed, is slated for a late 2024 release. Sean has become a strong proponent of creating organically from scratch with live instrumentation. He sought out musicians Stephen Gallo, Garrett Hunter, Sam Brooks and Levi Graft for this upcoming album. On the beat-side of things, Sean enlisted hometown production from Big Jerm, Johnny Juliano, Moe The Natural, etc. with E Dan of ID Labs primarily doing the mixing of the record. The project is slated to feature appearances from Kyle Cook of Matchbox Twenty, Lyfe Jennings, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana and more.
Coming fresh off his 2nd international tour within a year with fellow collaborator and successful Independent Hip Hop veteran, Chris Webby, Ski is excited to bring his show back home along with an action-packed, talented lineup as well as surprise guests!
