About this Event
Thinking about buying a home but not sure where to start?
This seminar is designed to walk you through how the home buying process actually works—especially if your situation doesn’t fit into a traditional box.
For many musicians and people in creative fields, the question isn’t whether they want to buy—it’s whether it’s even possible, and where to begin.
This session is about making that process clearer.
This seminar runs about 60 minutes and includes time for questions.
Is homeownership possible with musician income?
Many Nashville musicians assume buying a home is out of reach because of gig income, inconsistent paychecks, or self-employment.
In reality, qualifying isn’t about having a traditional job—it’s about how your income is documented and understood.
This seminar breaks down how that works, and what the process actually looks like in Nashville today.
Free Event — Limited Seating
This is a free educational seminar, but space in the rehearsal hall is limited.
Please reserve a ticket so we know how many attendees to expect.
Who You’ll Hear From
Instead of hearing one person try to explain everything, you’ll hear directly from the professionals who handle each part of the process every day:
- Casey Brefka – Realtor® with the Moon Group at Benchmark Realty Guides the overall process from start to finish
- Jenny-Faye Klooster – Team Lead, Moon Group Brings experience in contracts, negotiations, and navigating complex situations
- Renee’ Goodrich – Sr. Loan Officer, SWBC Mortgage Explains how income is evaluated, what lenders look for, and financing options
- Delana Stevens – State President, Nations Title Company Walks through the closing process and how ownership officially transfers
About This Seminar
Buying a home can feel overwhelming, especially if you’re not sure where to begin.
This seminar breaks the process into clear, understandable steps so you can see how the path from renting to homeownership actually works.
We’ll walk through the seven key stages of the process—from getting oriented and understanding your finances, to touring homes, making an offer, navigating inspections, and closing.
Along the way, you’ll get a realistic picture of how decisions are made, what to expect at each step, and how everything fits together.
This is designed to be practical and approachable, whether you’re actively thinking about buying or just starting to explore the idea.
Bring your questions and leave with a clearer understanding of how the process works.
