Join me for this practical and informative workshop to prepare for birth without a midwife.
This is not a workshop about freebirth, but in the current climate where maternity attendance at homebirths is not guaranteed, it is a good idea to prepare by educating yourself.
Birth is often safer with competent midwives in attendance, but sometimes birth happens before a midwife arrives (BBA) or whilst you are travelling to a birth centre. In most spontaneous births, there is no need for medical care, but emergency situations can arise without warning. Learning what situations might occur and what to do whilst awaiting emergency assistance can help you remain calmer when phoning an ambulance and more able to follow their emergency instructions
Suitable for birthworkers and parents alike, this workshop helps you consider and prepare for unexpected situations that can sometimes happen in birth, and informs you of your legal role and responsibilities in birthing or in supporting birth without a midwife.
