For as long as I can remember, there has been rap music on Boxing Day in Halifax, from the supreme Duplex to the legendary Krunkmas. After the family traditions, we meet and dance with our extended family. A more recent tradition, set by our brother Mark Brand, has seen our charity A Better Life Foundation support families through food in our hometown. Through his work with Union Gospel Mission and Northwood, we’ve been bringing seasonal cheer to our city for the past couple of years.
This year we will be combining those traditions and celebrating the season with a night of festive music, food and good cheer while raising money to help make sure families are able to share in that good spirit. All proceeds will be going to support the women and families of Coverdale Society by providing ingredients for a full turkey dinner with toys for the children .
We will be making this donation ahead of the 25th so we can provide a real Christmas miracle experience. We encourage you to buy tickets in advance to help support ahead of time.
There will be complimentary canapes and cocktails on reception from 8 - 9pm
At 9, our dear friend ADAM BALDWIN will regale us in his renditions of holiday classics - will some surprise guests join him? Likely, everyone is home for the holidays?
At 10 - OKAY TK will select the best of new and classic carols, festive joints and jams! Will surprise DJ’s jump on? Obviously, we home baby!
We’re very excited to celebrate with friends and family and create some magic for the folks in our city who need it the most. Thanks for helping us spread that good cheer!
