Make your own terrarium workshopDATE- Tuesday 14th May 2024
TIME - 12pm - 1pm (ish)
This workshop is aimed at children aged 7+ (although if you feel this is suitable for your child at any age, you are more than welcome to book them on)
Our workshop will take place in our workshop studio area of Leslie Terrance plant shop and café.
We have a lovely big table which we can sit around. We will learn to make and create a terrarium. We will learn about the layers needed for the plants to survive and about the plants that we are using in the terrarium. We have lots of fun figures like dinosaurs and animals as well as stones and moss to decorate the terrarium and make it a magical little world.
It is very important to note that your child is your responsibility while they are here at the workshops. If you child doesn’t mind being left alone you are more than welcome to sit in the café and have a few moments peace and quiet but you MUST stay in the building at all times and be available for your child if needed at any moment. Obviously if you would like to join in with us to that’s fine too!
Maggie, Eddie and I are very excited to join in the home education community and it is all very new to us so we are hoping by sharing our magical space with you we can create friendships and give an opportunity for our children to have fun, learn and connect. We are hoping to hold a workshop every Tuesday. We will keep charges as low as possible to just cover the costs and space/ time needed to do them. Some prices may differ depending on costs of equipment. If we ‘hire’ in a tutor then the price will be based on their fee.
The workshops will have 10 spaces for each. We will need to have at least three days’ notice if you are unable to make your booked workshop for a refund. If your child happens to fall ill on the day of the workshop we can re book them on to another in the future.
We will be using soil and moss so don't come in your best clothes!
When booking your tickets please state your child(rens) name(s) and age(s) you do not need to have a physical ticket. Once you have booked on we will have your details. Just turn up!
If you are arriving in a car we are situated right next to castle quarters car park. The castle mall car park and pay and display car parks are all in walking distance of the shop. We are about 20 mins walk from the train station. 5 mins walk from the main bus drop offs in the city center. We also have amble bike parking opposite the shop.
