Home Education Connection - Waves of Waste

Are your children home-educated? Are you looking for a quality outdoor experience to enhance their learning? Then join us on one of our sessions exclusively for home-educated children and their families. Suitable for children aged 7 – 13 years old. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Sadly, litter is now a common sight on our beaches. We'll explore the different types of litter that we find washed up on Yorkshire's beaches, how long it takes different materials to break down in the sea, and the effects that litter has on our marine wildlife, before heading onto the shore for a beach clean.

IMPORTANT PAYMENT OPTIONS NOTE: Please do not choose the 'pay in instalments' option as, due to technical difficulties, this does not secure your place!

What to bring/wear

This event takes place both inside and outside so brace yourself for the Yorkshire weather! We'd recommend sturdy footwear, waterproofs and lots of layers.

Toilets and catering

There are toilets open daily at the Living Seas Centre. Please note the cafe will be closed on this day.
