Home Composting Workshop at Conkling Street Garden

Interested in learning how to compost but not sure where to begin? Already composting but need a refresher? This Home Composting workshop will give you what you need to be a successful composter!

The hands-on workshop will cover the benefits of compost, the setup and steps to creating successful compost, and how to treat common problems that might arise.

The workshop will be led by a Maryland Master Gardener. The Conkling Street Garden is a community garden open for Highlandtown community members to garden and gather together.

All participants will have the option to take home a composting bin courtesy of DPW Bureau of Solid Waste. The bins are 33 inches tall and 24 inches wide (almost 3 feet by 2 feet) so please verify that your car can fit the bin.
