Accidentally left behind when his family rushes off on Christmas vacation, Kevin gets busy decorating the house for the holidays. But he’s not decking the halls with tinsel and holly. Two bumbling burglars are trying to break in, and Kevin’s rigging a bewildering battery of booby traps to welcome them!

Tom Hanks stars in this black slapstick comedy about a suburbanite whose plans for a peaceful vacation at home are disturbed by the arrival of a creepy new family on the block. Much to the disappointment of his wife (Carrie Fisher), Ray Peterson (Hanks) and his three neighbors set out to investigate the next door residence after they begin to observe strange happenings. And soon Ray begins to suspect the new family in town is a front for a cannibalistic cult!
