About this Event
PATH to Hip Hop: An Exhibition + Fundraiser
Exhibition • Live DJ sets • Art Sales • Hip Hop Activations
This experience brings together works that highlight the elements of Hip Hop - Breakin', DJing, Graffiti, and MCing. In celebration of Hip Hop History Month, the art exhibition will feature works by Amy Cinnamon, George R. Mercado, Krave, Remote, and more. Live DJ sets by DJ Exes and DJ Magic set the vibe for immersive activations and guest MC performances throughout the night. Live painting and a Writer's Bench pay homage to graffiti culture against the backdrop of PATH's growing archive.
15 Years of Everlasting Bass
During this event, we turn up the volume to celebrate 15 years of Everlasting Bass. Join us in honoring the art, music, and the community that shaped the massive graffiti boombox that remains one of Wynwood’s most recognized landmarks and a powerful symbol of Miami’s Hip Hop identity.
Miami artist, Trek6, has curated and led a collaborative process to keep Everlasting Bass booming in the Wynwood Art District for over a decade. He tells the story noting its origin as a playskool boombox painted by Miami artist, Sonni (Primary Flight) for Art Basel in 2010. But with Trek's diligence, vision, and network of talented collaborators - Choor Boogie, Ishmael, Ras Terms, 7Up Crew, and others - the otherwise siloed structure has become one of Miami's most iconic canvases.
Proceeds from this event support PATH, Inc., a Miami nonprofit dedicated to the preservation of Hip Hop culture.
