Holy Moses Heartache perform a rare full-band show at The Belgrave Hotel on Saturday 10th August, supported by Mast Gully Fellers. Free entry and good times!Hailing from the heart of musical camaraderie, Holy Moses Heartache have spent the past decade crafting a soulfully swampish mix of cosmic-country-funk-folk-rock with a dash of irreverent humour. Formed as a serendipitous collaboration among friends with a shared love for life's little pleasures, Holy Moses Heartache have been on a quest to create music that's as awesome as they (humbly) are. While they profess to enjoying Pina Coladas, getting caught in the rain and long walks on the beach, it's their musical concoctions that truly
steal the spotlight.
Whether you're a cosmic-country convert, a folk-funk aficionado, or just someone on the lookout for music that transcends time and trends, Holy Moses Heartache invites you to join them on their musical escapades. With a track record of albums, performances, and straight-up songs that promise to leave you humming, toe-tapping, and craving more, this band could be the friend you never knew you needed.
"Mast Gully Fellers" were formed in 2014 in the Dandenong Ranges, in an area once known as 'Mast Gully', and are a regular on the festival scene including Newstead Live, National Celtic Festival, Bendigo Blues and Roots Festival, Healesville Music Festival.
Renowned for a unique, but familiar ‘Australiana Bar-Room Folk’ sound which meanders through alt-country and blues, to bush ballads, and celtic punk. Their songs are filled with distinctly Australian yarns of country pubs, bush life, love, traveling adventures, and local history. The band have appeared at music festivals and venues across Victoria, and released their first LP in spring 2023 - 'The Great Divide', is a 10-song album featuring cameo appearances from Sarah Carroll, Kerryn Tolhurst, and Bruce Haymes, who compliment an already full and eclectic sound coming from the lineup of fiddle, banjo, double bass, acoustic guitar, percussion, harmonica, a little ukulele, and the four-part harmonies.
