Purpose/Agenda:
Shooting basics – short recap on importance of stance, grip, sight picture, sight alignment, breathing, trigger press and control, and follow through.
Learn how to safely draw the firearm from the holster to present on target and safely return to the holster.
Learning mechanical vs organic movements in the process.
Administrative loading, emergency reloading, speed reloading, tactical reloading.
Shooting will include - strong hand supported, strong hand only, weak hand supported, weak hand only.
Shooting positions will include - static, kneeling, and barricade.
A maximum of 6 students may enroll at one time, minimum of 2 students.
Prerequisites:
A semiautomatic midsize or full size pistol. (Prior Experience with the Handgun being used, this should not be your first day shooting it)
Holster - Outside the waistband – Dominant Side hip or belt mounted – molded holsters only, cloth/soft canvas/universal will not be allowed.
Magazine Pouches for the Hip.
Belt
150 rounds of ammo
2-3 Magazines (3 preferred – do not preload)
Long Pants
Closed Toe Shoes
Sturdy Belt
Eye and Ear Protection
