About this Event

Come and explore the latest research on effective leadership and leadership development. Because of the obvious gender gap in school leadership—while women make up the majority of educators, the majority of higher-level leaders are male—we will focus on gender as a starting place for exploring

· Whether school systems really tap into the potential talent pool of aspiring leaders by considering multiple faces of leadership.

· How unconscious biases affect leadership choices—for yourself and others

· The neuroscience and “neurononsense” surrounding gender differences in the brain and how the resulting stereotypes hurt people of all genders—students and educators!

· How to move beyond traditional views of leadership that often limit the talent pool and lead to linear views of ed reform
