This is for expecting families who:
-Want to understand birth as a rite of passage
-Are interested in connecting with their intuition & innate body wisdom
-Value and respect different cultural approaches and systems of medicine (such as TCM, Ayurveda, yoga, traditional midwifery, herbalism)
-Are passionate about integrating intergenerational trauma & passing down ancestral gifts through their lineage
-Interested in physiological birth
-Want to take ownership & responsibility for their birth and be willing to confront difficult situations
-Interested in recreating the current birth culture
-Want to center their birth experience within community
-See themselves as inextricably a part of the ecology of the earth and other beings

What will this experience entail?

-2 hour classes every Monday for 6 weeks in a cozy home environment
-Each registration includes 2 people to attend for the series
-Nourishing omnivore dinners made with local whole foods included in each class
-Guest speakers well versed in physiological birth, shamanism, ancestral healing, herbalism, parenthood, acupuncture, and holistic medicine
-Breathwork & movement practices to support the nervous system & perinatal health
-Holistic tools to prepare the mind & body for birth & postpartum
-Birth art & creative expression
-Boundary work & relational skill building
-Ceremony & using elements of nature as allies
-Community connection & a space to be held & witnessed

About your facilitators:
Emmy Chantal is an intuitive healer, yoga teacher, and continuum doula (trained in birth and postpartum) with a BA in Cultural Studies, minor in Gender and Women's Studies. Emmy has spent the last 13+ years sharing her ancestral medicines of yoga, meditation, hands on healing, whole foods meal prep, and honouring the Divine Feminine. Ashley Chipurda is a doula, yoga teacher, and blended modality bodyworker in her final semester of studies in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Ashley is passionate about supporting women & partners to connect to their innate wisdom and birth in their power.
