"A rip-roaring set of early hokums, vintage jazz, jug band, and parlor tunes are brought from the fog of the past and slapped out of their stupor by a crack ensemble of some of Milwaukee’s finest musicians, playing tunes the only way they know how: hard, fast, and swinging. With John Sparrow of the Violent Femmes driving the band on drums, Joe LeSage of Pupy Costello providing the top-flight vocals, and Brett Westfahl and Trevor Lieseman providing a soaring horn section on trumpet and sax, Old Sam and the Teardrops play swing hard, fast, enthusiastically, and get-out-of-your-seat-and-DANCE-ably! Timelessly entertaining, and decidedly fun to watch. These shows are great for all ages, and will have grandma toe tapping to old favorites, and kids up and dancing to new ones."
