Holiday Wreath Workshop with Hui Hana Lei

Get into the holiday spirit! Create your own festive wreath using fresh noble fir, cypress, and other lush evergreens. Under the guidance of our instructor, you’ll craft a beautiful 12-inch wreath on a wire base and finish it with a cheerful ribbon bow. Want to make it uniquely yours? Bring along small ornaments or decorations to add a personal touch to your masterpiece.

Class Instructors: The class will be led by the talented volunteers of Hui Hana Lei, a longtime Lyon Arboretum group known for their beautiful lei, wreaths, and floral creations made with aloha and locally gathered materials. Hui Hana Lei Volunteers meet regularly at Lyon Arboretum to make beautiful Hawaiian style lei, table arrangements, and other items sold at the gift shop and Lyon’s Fall Sale. We also offer on-line orders throughout the year for different kinds of lei. We teach classes in wili-style lei and holiday wreaths every year to encourage the appreciation of beautiful natural materials.

Location: Lyon Arboretum Visitors Center Downstairs Classroom

Cost: $50.00

All proceeds from the class will go to the Lyon Arboretum Education Department School Tours program.

What to bring/wear

Clippers and your own ornaments to decorate your wreath

Wear cool, comfortable clothing, and bring mosquito repellent. Bring water to drink.
