Welcome the Holiday Season at our annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony! 4:00pm | Refreshments | Village Green
Enjoy complimentary cookies, hot chocolate, and hot cider with family and friends. Available while supplies last.
4:00pm - 5:00pm | Storytime with the Board | Village Hall, Room E
Begin your evening with Village Board of Trustees sharing classic holiday stories that capture the magic of the season. Perfect for children and adults alike! Children will receive a cookie treat and a children's book donated by the Elk Grove Village Rotary Club. While supplies last. No reservations required.
4:00pm – 5:30pm | Elk Grove Express | Village Green
Enjoy our holiday train ride, designed especially for kids, the Elk Grove Express is sure to bring plenty of smiles along the way.
4:30pm – 5:30pm | The Box Tops Concert | Village Green
Listen to a live concert by The Box Tops, creators of the hit single “The Letter”! The Box Tops have 6 additional top 40 hits including Cry Like a Baby, Soul Deep, Neon Rainbow, Choo Choo Train, Sweet Cream Ladies – Forward March and Turn on a Dream.
5:30pm | Tree Lighting Ceremony, Fireworks, and photos with Santa | Village Green
After the concert, Mayor Johnson will flip the switch to illuminate the Village’s Holiday Tree and light up Village Green with more than 500,000 sparkling lights. The celebration continues with a fireworks show, followed by free photos with Santa for the whole family. We can’t wait to share this festive tradition with you and your loved ones.
