Feeling stuck this holiday season and looking for inspiration? Look no further! In this workshop, we will use our five senses along with holiday-themed items (seemingly common from home) to trigger memory and create fresh ideas for new or ongoing writing projects.
We’ll explore and experiment with how the senses are deeply linked with memory—for example, how scent can bring us back to a specific place, moment, or feeling—and how writing with the five senses helps us create concrete details that engage readers.
All you need to bring is a willingness to enjoy your writing experience and your favorite writing tools (paper and pen or laptop). Creative nonfiction but not exclusive so. Writers of all levels are welcome.
