Headliner: The Dangling Participles
The Dangling Participles are a Lansing-based band known for their diverse blend of indie folk, Americana, jazz, and pop. With soulful vocals from Tamiko Rothhorn and Austin Kaufmann, rich harmonies, and Kaufmann’s guitar, the band delivers a signature sound. They’ve been performing original and cover songs across mid-Michigan since 2015, winning the 2022 Lansing City Pulse "Top of the Town" award for Best Folk Artist/Band. The band’s lively performances and tight rhythm section make every show a memorable experience.
Opener: Keynote Sisters
The Keynote Sisters offer a fresh take on Americana, folk, and pop, with harmonies that only sisters can create. Their heartfelt storytelling lyrics provide a glimpse into their lives, connecting deeply with audiences. Their debut EP, Rose Colored Glasses (2019), was released at a sold-out show, followed by the single “Done and Damned” (2021), with a full-length album set for 2025. The Keynote Sisters have performed at notable venues like The Ark and 20 Front Street, and are the 2018 Michigan State Fair Superstar Grand Prize Winners.
Opener: Anara Pearl
Anara Pearl is an 11-year-old singer-songwriter from East Lansing, blending folk and pop with impressive maturity. Drawing inspiration from musical theater and artists like Taylor Swift, May Erlewine, and The Accidentals, she captivates with both energetic covers and original songs. With heartfelt lyrics and a powerful stage presence, Anara is quickly becoming a rising star in the Michigan music scene. She is often accompanied by her father, Austin Kaufmann, guitarist and singer for The Dangling Participles.
