This holiday season, BPW Saskatoon is pairing festive spirit with forward-thinking strategy. Join us for our first Holiday Salon, an intimate gathering designed to shape the future of women’s health advocacy in Saskatchewan—and beyond. We’re aiming to welcome a special guest from the Government of Saskatchewan, with hopes to feature the Minister responsible for the Status of Women, to help ground our conversations in the real policy landscape ahead.
Why This Gathering Matters
BPW is not your average professional club.
As part of BPW International, we belong to a global federation with consultative status at the United Nations, actively contributing to the Commission on the Status of Women. Here in Canada, BPW regularly lobbies the federal government, drafts policy resolutions, and champions issues that advance gender equity nationwide.
That means what we discuss in Saskatoon doesn’t stay in Saskatoon.
Our insights directly inform:
-BPW Canada’s national advocacy agenda
-Policy resolutions presented to government leaders
-International submissions to the United Nations
And with the 2026 BPW National Convention happening right next door in Regina, this is a rare opportunity for Saskatchewan women to shape the issues that will take the national stage.
Building on a Year of Big Conversations
This event is the next chapter in a year-long women’s health series that has illuminated everything from menopause to metabolic health, trauma, reproductive care, research inequality, and beyond.
Our most recent health panel highlighted critical gaps and opportunities, including:
-Women’s health research lagging decades behind due to historic exclusion from clinical trials
-Only 37% of Canadian women feeling adequately supported in the workplace during menopause
-The growing importance of individualized, integrative, and preventative models of care
-Access and policy gaps—from employer supports to a lack of Right-to-Try frameworks for emerging treatments
This salon continues that momentum, turning insights into influence.

Why You’ll Love It
Because this isn’t just a holiday reception.
It’s a chance to help decide what BPW Canada—and potentially the United Nations—hears from Saskatchewan women in the years ahead.
And honestly? There’s something pretty special about shaping national policy over a glass of wine.
