Holiday Pickleball Match-up | Ages 25-39

Celebrate the season with a holiday twist on pickleball and speed dating!
Pickleball Match-up brings together pickleball lovers for an evening of fun, fitness, and festive connections. Whether you’re new to the sport or a seasoned player, this event is about making meaningful connections — both on and off the court.

Participants will rotate through short, fast-paced games and off-court mini mingles designed to spark conversation and laughter. Add in holiday music, festive attire, and a cheerful atmosphere, and you’ve got a night of good vibes and potential new friendships (or doubles partners!).

Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Location: ROC City Pickleball | 1861 Scottsville Rd. Rochester, NY 14623
Dress Code: Festive activewear encouraged — think holiday colors, Santa hats, or jingle bell accessories!

6:00 – 6:20 PM | Check-In & Warm-Up

• Arrive, grab a name tag
• Light warm-up and introductions with upbeat holiday music.

6:20 – 6:30 PM | Welcome & Intro to Pickleball

• Quick and lively activity to loosen up and meet others.
• Example: rally the ball back and forth while answering lighthearted holiday or pickleball-themed questions (“Favorite holiday movie?” “Best pickleball shot?”).

6:30 – 7:15 PM | Pickleball Speed Dating Rounds

• Short doubles matches (~8 minutes each).
• Rotate courts and partners each round — get to meet new people every time.
• Between rounds, quick conversation prompts to keep the mingling going.

7:15 – 7:25 PM | Festive Matchmaking & Mingling

• Off-court mingle time with holiday snacks or light refreshments (cookies, fruit, cocoa, etc.).
• Fill out a simple “Match Card” for players you’d like to connect with again.
• Organizers collect the cards to share mutual matches post-event.

7:25 – 8:10 PM | Pickleball Speed Dating Rounds

• Short doubles matches (~8 minutes each).
• Rotate courts and partners each round — get to meet new people every time.
• Between rounds, quick conversation prompts to keep the mingling going.

8:10 – 8:30 PM | Holiday Cheer & Open Court

• Raffle or fun prize for “Most Festive Attire” or “Most Spirited Player.”
• Group photo to wrap up the evening!
• Open Play until Ted says we need to leave!
