Are you looking for something fun to do? Step back in time at the Suggett House Museum for our annual Holiday Open House!
Enjoy our temporary “Tinsel & Canvas” exhibit featuring winter themed art and beautiful holiday décor in the Suggett House. Our “Suspended in Time: Unraveling the Lives Women Left Behind” exhibit featuring samplers, quilts, and other art by women and girls will be wrapping up at the end of December, so don’t miss your chance to see it. The kids can explore our Then & Now Children's Room where they can experience hands on history. Don’t forget that admission to the Suggett House Museum is always free!
We are pleased to welcome three local authors to this event, and they will be available to sign copies of their books. Martin Sweeney, Matthew Watros, and Karen Hempson will all be on hand to answer questions related to their work. In addition to books by local authors, we have a selection of regional and state history titles, cozy Cortland County coverlets, handmade jewelry and artwork by local artists, vintage postcards and books, and plush animals. There will be a “make & take” craft station as well!
