Holiday Lights at the Lake 2022

Make Holiday Lights at the Lake your favorite holiday tradition as you drive or walk through West Overlook Campground. This second annual community event boasts just over one mile of large and animated lighting installations including a dazzling animated tunnel and many glittering arches and holiday characters. West Overlook Campground offers a unique and picturesque setting. Proceeds benefit The Bird House, Hospice Home of Johnson County.

Drive through only and closed to pedestrian traffic on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Wednesday evenings are walk-through only and closed to vehicle traffic. We welcome dog's but they must be well behaved, on a leash, picked up after, and good with noise, bright lights, and lots of activity. Being able to stay on path is a must as there are many cords and hazards off path.

HOURS: Sunday-Thursday: 5:30pm-8:30pm and Friday-Saturday: 5:00pm-9:00pm

All evenings are subject to closure due to inclement weather. Tickets are non-refundable but can be used for any evening during the event.

COST: $10.00 per car, $20.00 per large van , $30.00 per minibus or small limo, $50.00 per charter/party bus/school bus. or large limo.

Walk-through Wednesdays are $5.00 per person.

Cash is accepted at the gate if you wish not to pay a processing fee.

Bring your letters to Santa and we will make sure to mail them in plenty of time for Christmas! Sometimes, Santa swings by and grabs the letters himself!

Want to join our walk-through event but don't want to walk? No worries! Our friends at Pedal Power are pro's and will make sure you have a fun and festive ride around the event route!

One of our favorite displays is this parody of Edward Hoppers famous 1942 painting "Nighthawks". The real paining is displayed at The Art Institute of Chicago, many prints are displayed in bars, dorm rooms and auto shops around the world, and our take on this classic is GIANT and right here in the Corridor!

Wednesday evenings are a great opportunity to stretch your legs, get some fresh air, and grab that family photo or Instagram pic you've been wanting all season! Make sure to ask one of our friendly volunteers to take a photo for you or feel free to take your time and get the perfect selfie!
