Holiday Hullabaloo: A Cappella Harmony for Treble Voices (10/29-12/10)
About this Event
Looking for a festive way to celebrate the season? Come sing with the Greater Richmond Chorus!
Holiday Hullabaloo is a 6-week singing program where you'll learn six holiday favorites in four-part a cappella harmony. You'll rehearse alongside our members, get help and feedback along the way, and finish the program by performing what you've learned for friends and family.
No previous barbershop experience required. Just bring your love of singing and a willingness to learn.
Dates
Rehearsals are Thursdays starting October 29. Five rehearsals followed by our Friends + Family Performance on December 10.
Rehearsal dates: October 29, November 5, November 12, November 19, and December 3 from 6:30 - 9:15pm
No rehearsal: November 26 (Thanksgiving)
Friends + Family Performance: Thursday, December 10, 2026, at Stony Point Fashion Park. Tickets coming soon.
What to Expect
Learn and grow
- Learn six holiday favorites arranged in four-part a cappella harmony for treble voices (for our returning guest singers - there’s new music this year!).
- Discover the distinctive sound of barbershop harmony as you learn your voice part.
- Receive feedback and coaching from our director and other experienced GRC members.
- We'll give you everything you need to prepare for each rehearsal and the final performance.
Sing with others who love to sing
- Rehearse alongside members of the Greater Richmond Chorus.
- Meet other members and guests who love to sing (and may share some of your other interests, too!)
- There is no audition process, and no previous barbershop experience required.
Be your authentic self
- This program is open to all treble singers. No matter who you are, you are welcome here.
- You don't have to be an experienced singer or a barbershop expert. Come as you are, ask questions, make mistakes, and learn something new (just like our members do every week!)
- Holiday Hullabaloo is a program where you can sing, learn, meet people, and have a good time.

Meet Our Director, Vera Crouse
Vera Crouse is a life-long learner and a believer in the power of music. She taught music in public schools for 7 years after graduating from Longwood University, then shifted focus to dementia care and senior activities. In 2024 she opened Poco a Poco Music Studio, where she currently facilitates voice sessions & ensemble coaching, leads a Zumba fitness class, and brings musical engagement to memory care communities. Vera has been directing the Greater Richmond Chorus since 2014 and has enjoyed performing in high level quartets since 2012. You are likely to find Vera laughing with her family and friends, playing with her dog Max, or finding three others to sing a tag!
Greater Richmond Chorus is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Because we incur costs in preparing for the Holiday Hullabaloo Guest Program, all sales are final once the program begins. We recognize that exceptional circumstances may arise that prevent a participant from attending or completing the program. In such cases, Greater Richmond Chorus management may, at its sole discretion, issue a credit toward a future GRC guest program. All refund and credit requests will be reviewed individually, and any decision will be made at the discretion of Greater Richmond Chorus management.
