Holiday Fundraiser Music Show

Come celebrate the holidays with live music and charitable fun at the Falala Fundraiser! This show will benefit local nonprofit Families Forward Charlotte and feature a variety of talented local musicians in a night full of merriment and joy, hosted by Emily June and The Seasons.

All proceeds will be donated to Families Forward Charlotte, which works with families in need to tailor assistance to each family's unique situation.

A note from Families Forward Charlotte:

Families Forward Charlotte exists because far too many families in our community are working hard and doing their best, yet still struggling to meet their basic needs. These challenges are not the result of personal failure but the result of systems that have created and sustained barriers for generations. We believe that with the right support, relationships, and opportunities, families can break cycles of poverty and build the futures they envision for themselves. Our role is to walk alongside them with respect, trust, and encouragement.

We serve families through our Family Success Program, which offers one-on-one, long-term support tailored to each family’s unique journey. Families are paired with a volunteermentor and a dedicated Program Manager who work together to help them set goals, navigate challenges, and access critical resources. This includes support with housing, utilities, transportation, employment, financial education, and mental health. We also provide essential items like hygiene products, household goods, and clothing, and help families during stressful times with holiday gift support, school supply drives, and weekend food packs for children attending Title I schools.

As we look to the future, our strategic plan centers on growing our impact while staying rooted in the values that guide our work. We are expanding the Family Success Program to reach more families, strengthening our partnerships across the community, and using data to better understand what families need to thrive. Most importantly, we are listening to the families we serve and following their lead, because we know lasting change begins when people feel seen, heard, and supported.
