Celebrate the season while learning the timeless game of American Mahjong. Perfect for beginners, this special holiday edition of Mahjong 101 combines hands-on instruction, festive fun, and a unique ornament exchange in the warm, welcoming atmosphere of Bayou & Bottle.
Led by Becky Livingstone (Lady Mahj), this interactive class is designed for absolute beginners and players looking to build a strong foundation in the game. You'll learn the fundamentals of American Mahjong, core rules and gameplay, and enjoy guided practice as you play your first hands.

Holiday Ornament Exchange
To add a little extra holiday cheer, each guest is asked to bring a wrapped ornament to exchange. At the end of the evening, participants will draw numbers and take turns selecting ornaments, creating a festive and memorable way to celebrate with fellow Mahjong enthusiasts.
Your Experience Includes:
- Two hours of guided Mahjong instruction and play with Lady Mahj
- A handcrafted martini or signature Bayou & Bottle cocktail

Holiday Ornament Exchange Guidelines: Please bring one wrapped ornament valued at approximately $10-$20 for the exchange.

About Becky Livingstone (Lady Mahj)
A Houstonian of nearly two decades by way of England, Becky Livingstone brings an elegant blend of teaching, storytelling, and Mahjong mastery to every table. What began as a personal passion has become a full-time vocation—one through which she has guided more than 1,000 students in private lessons, workshops, and events.
Her sessions at Bayou & Bottle are social, engaging, and hands-on—inviting guests to learn through play while enjoying exceptional hospitality in true Four Seasons style.
