Holiday Cooking for Type 1 Diabetes

Join us at the Olathe Hy-Vee Grocery Store for a fun and educational event called Holiday Cooking for Type 1 Diabetes! Hosted by Children's Mercy, Hy-Vee, and Breakthrough T1D you will learn how to make delicious and diabetes-friendly dishes and count carbohydrates just in time for the holiday season. Our experienced dietitians will share their tips and tricks for creating meals that are not only tasty but also healthy. The dishes we'll be making and sampling this time are a mashed cauliflower and holiday tart. We will even have Gluten Free options! Don't miss out on this opportunity to expand your cooking skills and enjoy some great food in good company. See you there!

Once You Arrive at Hy-Vee:

1. When you arrive at Hy-Vee, please enter through the east entrance, which is marked with a sign that says "Food."
2. Once inside, head toward the Market Grill area.
3. From the Market Grill, take either the stairs or the elevator up to the second floor. The cooking class will be held in the test kitchen, located at the top of the stairs or elevator. Look for signs directing you to the room!
