About this Event
Nothing says the holidays like a tray of homemade cookies. In this festive hands-on class, Chef Amy Loizer will guide you through baking a collection of traditional Christmas cookies inspired by holiday celebrations from several countries. Along the way, you'll learn techniques for mixing, shaping, baking, and decorating cookies while discovering the traditions behind each recipe.
Working in pairs, each station will prepare a different cookie recipe with Chef Amy's guidance. Once the baking is complete, everyone will gather for a holiday cookie exchange, sampling a variety of cookies and learning simple tips for arranging and packaging them for gift giving.
Each student will receive a decorative cookie box to fill with an assortment of every cookie made in class, creating a beautiful edible gift to take home, share with family and friends, or leave out for Santa.
While the cookies bake, enjoy light appetizers and prepare a featured holiday mocktail or cocktail.
🍽️ What to Wear:
Please wear long pants and flat, closed-toe shoes for your safety. Long hair should be tied back. You will be standing and cooking for most of the class, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes. Sandals, flip-flops, and high heels are not permitted in Columbus State kitchens.

Nuts, shellfish, and other common allergens are frequently used in our kitchens. If you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance at [email protected]. We will do our best to accommodate your needs, but please note that adjustments cannot be made during class.
💬 Cancellation Policy:
If you need to cancel your class booking, you may do so up to 48 hours before the class to receive a refund or class credit. If The Mix must cancel a class for any reason, you will be notified by phone or email and offered the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.

Class reservations are first-come, first-served—early registration is encouraged.
No refunds will be issued after the class has been held.
The Mix reserves the right to substitute instructors or modify class content when necessary.
