Grief is a universal experience that often goes unspoken, especially for clinicians. As caregivers, it’s easy to focus on others and neglect our own grief. This event offers a unique space to explore these emotions through the healing power of poetry and storytelling. 💛 Through live poetry reading by Albuquerque Poet Laureate Anna Martinez, and small group readings from Wildling and Sprout, a poetry anthology about pregnancy loss and postpartum journeys, we’ll witness how sharing stories can help process grief, build empathy, and offer new perspectives on loss. Poetry invites us to sit with our emotions, making space for healing in a way that’s deeply personal yet profoundly communal. 🌱
Together, we’ll discuss how clinicians can use these tools to care for themselves while offering sustainable, compassionate care to others. This gathering is essential for anyone navigating the emotional complexities of reproductive health.
Open to UNM Midwifery, OBGYN, Family Practice, Volunteer Birth Companion Program and Abq Doula communities
