Josh Miller (Tom Everett Scott) is on an ambitious academic path, funded by a scholarship. When his underachieving stoner roommate Cooper (Mark-Paul Gosselar) leads him off his academic path, Josh is desperate to bring up his grades and save his scholarship. When they discover an obscure academic rule that awards straight As to any student whose roommate commits suicide. This leads Josh and Cooper on a quest to find a vulnerable student to send over the edge.
