A Hold Space Event
Make something with your hands, play something ridiculous, and carve out a little space for yourself.
Life can be busy. Making friends as an adult can be surprisingly hard. Sometimes you just want to get out of the house, try something new, and be around other people without feeling like you have to work the room.
That's why Hold Space exists.
Hold Space events are designed around three simple things:
🎨 Make something with your hands.
🎉 Play something a little ridiculous.
🧩 Create opportunities for connection that feel natural, not forced.
Coming alone? Perfect. Many people will be.
No artistic talent required. No awkward networking. No need to bring a friend.
Just show up.
MAKE. PLAY. CONNECT.
🪴 MAKE: Beaded Plants
Create your own beaded plant to take home. We'll provide all the materials and guidance you need. No green thumb required.
🌼 PLAY: Plant Bingo
It's bingo. The prizes are plants. We're all old enough to understand how exciting this actually is.
🐾 CONNECT: Playful Chaos
We'll sprinkle in a few activities throughout the afternoon designed to help you meet the people around you. Think Agreeable Corners (or, in some cases, Disagreeable Corners—let the hot takes commence) and Animal Noise Match: equal parts ridiculous and surprisingly effective.
Hope you've brushed up on your bird calls.
WHAT TO EXPECT
2:00 PM – Welcome
Arrive, grab a snack, settle in, and ease into the afternoon.
No rushing. No pressure.
2:15 PM – Play
A few rounds of Plant Bingo because nothing says community quite like collectively becoming deeply invested in a game of bingo.
2:45 PM – Connect
It's time for Agreeable Corners and Animal Noise Match. Let's discover who else in the room shares your oddly specific opinions and can identify your best attempt at a chicken impression.
3:15 PM – Make
Create your beaded plant while enjoying music, conversation, and the simple joy of making something with your hands.
4:00 PM – Wrap Up
Head home with your creation, a few new stories, and perhaps a newfound appreciation for the people willing to make animal noises with complete strangers.
