About this Event
One Ticket Per Couple
Based on the work of Dr. Sue Johnson, the creator of Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples and author of Hold Me Tight. With decades of research behind these proven methods.
Hold Me Tight® Portland is facilitated by EFT therapists Laurel Marshall, MA, LMFT and Noah Roost, Ph.D.
A 2 day, in-person, non-residential weekend couples retreat in Portland, OR. Hold Me Tight is designed to give you the tools and experience to break free of the old cycles of fighting, retreating, feeling alone and unheard. The goal in the workshop is to foster greater emotional support, connection and create effective and resilient processes to handle conflict and hard conversations in the relationship.
- You'll be supported to have important conversations with the guidance of trained EFT therapists.
- You'll find and nurture a safe place with each other to rekindle that spark, the old feelings of love, and a deep sense of connection.
- You'll identify and begin repairing old patterns that create distress in your relationship.
- You'll see how you're not alone in what you are feeling and experiencing when in distress with your partner.
It's not enough to physically be there in the same space or doing things together. Yes, that even goes for "date nights." Mere presence and familiarity doesn't build love bonds. But the subtle experience of safe connection does.
We've seen it happen time and time again with our couples, some even expressing surprise when they find out they're not alone in how they had felt before they learned how to connect in this way.
As one couple put it:
“I have spent years ignoring or stuffing my feelings. This workshop opened me and my partner to a whole new way of connecting with each other, that actually felt real!”
We have limited space. That's so that each workshop is deeply experiential so you can actually practice it in a private, safe and supportive atmosphere with trained EFT therapists.
Join us and experience it for yourself, while bringing home the tools to continue these results in your daily life.
