To help prevent critical blood shortages in Hoke County the ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Alpha Gamma Xi Omega Chapter are sponsoring a Community Blood Drive on June 26, 2026.
One of the greatest acts of service is donating the gift of life. According to the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, every two seconds, someone in the United States needs a blood transfusion.
The Institute also reports that Black blood donors are critically needed because patients with rare blood types benefit from blood donated by someone with the same ethnicity or race.
One donation can help SAVE three LIVES.
Join us at the Hoke County Public Library in Raeford, NC. Make sure bring a picture ID and eat and drink fluids before donating.
Let’s donate blood and make a tremendous difference in Hoke County. The donation process is safe and simple, and the takes about an hour — but the impact lasts a lifetime.
