About this Event
Celebrate the season by creating your own Mexican Tin Art Ornament in this Hojalata Workshop. You’ll learn the traditional techniques of embossing and painting tin, crafting a unique, festive ornament to decorate your home or give as a gift. No experience necessary!

Workshop Overview: In this 2-hour workshop, participants will:
- Create a Mexican Tin Art Ornament: Learn the intricate and traditional art of Hojalata, where we will emboss and paint tin to create your own festive ornament.
- Tools and Materials: Get hands-on with all the tools and techniques needed to emboss, cut, and paint your ornament.
- Step-by-Step Guidance: I’ll guide you through the process, from embossing the tin to applying the finishing touches.
- Take Home Your Art: Leave with a beautifully crafted ornament to add to your holiday décor or gift to a loved one.
Workshop Highlights:
- No prior experience needed. All skill levels are welcome.
- All necessary tools and materials will be provided.

- Liability Waiver & Photo Release Form: By attending this workshop, you agree to our Liability Waiver and Photo Release Form. A copy will be emailed prior to the event, and we request you review it before the workshop.
- Minimum Age Requirement: Suggested minimum age is 13 years. It is recommended that minors have a confident level of hand coordination.
- Parent/Guardian Attendance: Anyone under the age of 18 yrs must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Parent(s)/guardian(s) must sign a liability waiver for minors and be present for the entirety of the workshop.
- Allergen Warning: Some materials used in this workshop may cause skin irritation or allergic reactions. Gloves and masks will be provided.
