Hockey Helps the Homeless hosts an annual tournament where adult hockey players get a chance to play with hockey greats and raise funds to address the needs of people who experience homelessness in Waterloo Region.Over the past 10 years we have raised $2.203 million. The six partner agencies that benefit from our funds include: House of Friendship, Lutherwood's Safe Haven Shelter, oneROOF Youth Services, YW Kitchener-Waterloo, the Cambridge Shelter Corp., and The Working Centre.
How can you help: play, volunteer, sponsor, donate or fundraise!
If you are not playing or volunteering, you can stop by for a bit and watch some of the games, browse and bid in our online auction, or make a donation to our event as well. You might even meet a former NHL pro or Olympian player. You can also join our 17th Team of non-hockey playing fundraisers and receive all the benefits of our event except for the hockey playing part.
You do not need to know how to skate to take part in our event. There are many non-skating ways of helping out. Contact us today!
