Hobby Hangout

WHAT: A space to hang out with other people and work on something that brings you joy. You are welcome to bring your own personal projects or use the supplies provided by BCAW and the Hobby Bin!

WHERE: Burncoat Center for Arts and Wellness - Classroom (Inside) or Under the tent (outside), weather permitting! 

WHEN: Wednesday, July 22nd (5:30-7:30) and Sunday, August 9th (2pm-4pm)

WHO: Sammi (Heroine of Hobbies) will run the space alongside BCAW staff to create a welcoming and chill environment for everyone! Sammi will also bring a Hobby Bin of various supplies for anyone who wants to learn or try out a new hobby and use second hand art supplies to create something new!

WHY: Hobby Hangout creates a space to meet new people while finding a dedicated space and time to work on something that you may have been putting off, needed motivation for, forgot about, or want to share with others. Even just being in a room with other people working and creating makes can help get you in the right mindset - this is often why body doubling is so effective! 

HOW: Register for either day you can make it - this event is pay what you can! Your class contribution helps support BCAW and Sammi to run future events like these, as well as find new materials to share. It is set to pay what you can to help ensure everyone can join us!

EXTRA: If you have any extra materials that are in your house, please reach out to BCAW or Sammi about donating unused or gently used supplies!
