Introduction:

The HND Technical Support (with Cyber Security) covers a range of specialist technical skills and knowledge in using and supporting computer systems. Typically, an HNC takes one year to complete and an HND takes two years. This course will allow students to study towards up-to-date Vendor specific certifications in many of the skills that are in demand for many different types of career in IT Technical Support Role. The course provides a comprehensive range of knowledge and practical skills in providing technical expertise in pc maintenance, installing windows, desktop support, VMware cloud virtualisation, cyber security and server support.

Students will study a selection of appropriate technical support units designed to develop student’s skills and competencies to enable further study in any university undergraduate in computing programme. The HND Computing from ITPT offers a range of broad based computing support, cloud & Virtualisation modules including modules that cover elements of the Server, VMware Cloud Virtualisation, Linux LPI, Ethical Hacking, Digital Forensics, Security Concepts, Network Server Operating System, Intrusion Prevention Techniques and Mail Server Management.

This course integrates learning materials from industry standard vendors such as Microsoft, CompTIA and VMware which can help to prepare students for a variety of vendor certification exams.
