HMU: Kinky Mixer

Join HMU for a kinky mixer - this time in Brooklyn, at the Red Pavillion! This event is open to the public, 21+.
A Hit Me Up kinky mixer is a relaxed and friendly way to meet other folks in the kink, poly, enm, and other communities. It's a PG-13 event, an opportunity to grab a few drinks, make some connections, and meet the HMU team in a low-key setting. We also have a variety of games and icebreaker activities, and our guardians with glowing red arm bands keeping an eye on things.

You're also welcome to simply hang out, chat, and let us get to know you. We've created this space as an easy, low-pressure way to connect with our community, get your questions answered, and help us get to know our members a little better.

Price Transparency - Tickets are first come, first serve. All tiers provide access to the same event. The full fee reflects the true costs of running the event, including supplies and compensating facilitators for their labor. If you are able to afford a full price ticket without experiencing financial hardship, please choose this option. I'm new, what's this like? These mixer events are usually quite large, anywhere from 150 to 300 people joining us. That means there are plenty of new folks to meet, and hopefully the right types for whatever you're into. We know it might be a little weird--that's okay!

We provide some fun icebreaker games that help you to meet new people. Everything is PG-13, and it's fairly easy to meet new folks—everyone who comes to these events is specifically looking to at least make new friends. So don't be shy, introduce yourself. And if you run into any problems or someone makes you uncomfortable, talk to a guardian with a red armband, and we'll take care of it.

Membership: Most of our large events require membership, but this one does not require membership approval! If you're interested in becoming a member for our more private events, please fill out our new member application. Membership is completely free and only for vetting purposes. But it's not needed for this one!

There will be no tickets sold at the door, all attendees must purchase them through Eventbrite. If you have been specifically uninvited from Hit Me Up events, please do not try to attend this event.

Location: The Red Pavillion, 1241 Flushing Avenue, Brooklyn

Dress code: There's no enforced dress code, but we recommend all black or something nice. A bit of kinky flair is always welcome. If you look like you're going to try to pitch us on NFTs or stock options, you'll probably have less fun.

What is Hit Me Up?

Hit Me Up is New York City’s curated community for poly and kink. We run meetups, parties, and teach kink at House of Yes, Torture Garden, and other venues around the city.

We got our start running small events for our friends that quickly outgrew multiple venues. Now we have our own space and we are working to build the kink and poly community that NYC deserves—safer, friendlier, and weirder.

Our core value at Hit Me Up is that poly and kink should be FUN. We balance accessibility and friendliness with a selective approach to membership to ensure that we get to hang out and play in the community we want to exist. Safety and respect are the only things we always take seriously.

How do you keep your events safe?

❣️ Our rules are actually enforced. If we say there’s a dress code, we will actually turn away anyone who doesn’t put in the effort to follow it. See our full consent policy for more details.

❣️ We don’t oversell our events. There will always be space to breathe, to get away, and to get into what you’re into.

❣️ Aggressive, cruising, and abusive behavior are dealt with quickly.

❣️ Complaints and reports get action. We will never choose an extra ticket sale over risk to our members.

We are the guardians of the community, the space and the vibe, and we take that responsibility seriously. All of these things add up, and we think it shows in our membership and the incredible and weird things that can happen at our events.

To join Hit Me Up, go to hitmeupnyc.com/join and fill out the application. It helps if you have an existing member to put down as vouching for you, but it’s not necessary. Membership is completely free, and is purely for vetting and safety purposes.
