HMU Academy: Hit Me with Your Best Shot - Rough Body Play

Want to get a little rough and rowdy…without breaking any bones? Come learn how to engage in risk-aware consensual kink practices around rough body play, including punching, kicking, and trampling in "Hit Me With Your Best Shot” led by Oran Julius.
In this workshop, we will review reasons why people might want to engage in rough body play, safety measures, adaptations for dis/ability variations, and ideas for incorporating into scenes. A mini scene demonstrating techniques will then be performed, followed by practice time for participants under Oran’s supervision.
Please bring a buddy if you’d like to practice! You are welcome to come solo, but be prepared to only listen & watch if so. We'll do our best to help facilitate pairing of folks who come alone, but we cannot guarantee anyone a partner. All attendees require a ticket.
We recognize COVID-19 is still prevalent and provides risks to many folks, most significantly those with already marginalized identities.
To make this space more accessible, all attendees must provide either:
1) Proof of a negative COVID test taken the day of the workshop (Ideally PCR); or
2) Wear a mask over the nose and mouth for the duration of the workshop.

About Your Instructor

Oran Julius (they/he) is a femmeboy himbo, multitasking maven, and creative dreamer. Oran is a Black, queer, disabled and neurodivergent, non-binary femme. A true Renaissance man, Oran is always picking up new skills, and loves to share what he knows. They are a true switch who loves to play with extremes, swinging from unsettling sadism to eager masochism.

FAQ: what should I bring?

Yourself and a buddy you'd like to practice with! Bring a mask if you don't have access to COVID testing before the event.

FAQ: what should I wear?

Whatever makes your feel good! During the practice portion, folks are welcome to be as dressed or undressed as they wish. If you're interested in topping for kicking or trampling, consider what type of footwear you might wants to experiment with (boots, high heels, etc.)

FAQ: any skill pre-requisites? (i.e., is this for beginners, advanced, everyone?)

Open to everyone! We'll be going over the basics of kicking, trampling, and punching for beginners and then ideas of incorporating into play for folks of all levels.

FAQ: can I attend solo, or do I need to come with a partner?

Please bring your own buddy to practice with if you are able. You are welcome to come solo, but be prepared to only listen & watch. We'll do our best to help facilitate pairing folks who come alone, but we cannot guarantee anyone a person to practice with!
