Our first event of 2022 (uninterrupted by restrictions ?), it’s our second birthday and we’re starting the year head on with a very special guest - Melbourne’s club sound champion - DJ Smilez! ???
A local to the city of Melbourne, Australia - DJ Smilez has been recognised to have changed the path from a nightclub DJ to one of the most respected within the industry. He made a name for himself not only for his choice of music but for the energy he brings when playing – by championing a sound that blends Latin Rhythms, Baile Funk and Hip-Hop.
Mastering his skills for over 6 years, from practicing in his “home studio” to local nightclubs, bars – even remembering his first gig at a Melbourne venue Horse Bazaar, which may seem underwhelming to some, however to him, it was a humble step into what would turn out to be a career he could only dream of. This is where he has been able to perfect his ability to cross sonic boundaries and step out of the shadow as just the ordinary nightclub DJ and transform into someone who is admired for his unaccustomed visions and creativity.
