About this Event
Sashiko is a traditional Japanese technique of stitching multiple layers of old fabric and used for mending and reinforcing the working clothes. This geometric embroidery improves not only its durability but also make cloth thicker, warmer and extend the life of old fabric. The workshop focuses on learning Hitomezashi, a type of Sashiko stitching. We will learn how to create the decorative mending stitch on fabric, which gives you joy and mindfulness.
