History Uncorked presents:
A Murderous Midsummer Night
Join us for an evening of mystery and intrigue as we welcome our guests to be part of a unique jury experience as we share historic case law and challenge the jurors to deliberate on cases long past. The audience will be joined by a cast of local counsellors to bring this historic legal battle to life, letting our juror guests deliberate and determine the defendant’s fate.
On a breezy summery day in 1877, a child’s hat caught in the breeze would lead to an act of brutality that would lead a father to the steps of Minnesota’s Supreme Court. This historical presentation will invite our audience to question the narrative, challenge the facts, and offer a verdict in the case of The State of Minnesota v. Herdina.
Join us on April 7th at 7 pm for a night of intrigue, introspection, and a view of the Court that will not require you to post bail.
Tickets at $10 for general admission and $5 for SCHS members. Wine, beer, and soda will be available for purchase during the program. Please call or stop by the History Center in advance to purchase your tickets.
This event is sponsored by Einhaus, Mattison, Carver & Haberman, P.A.
