Join us for our next History Speaks lecture on Wednesday, April 22 at 7:00 PM, where we will welcome speakers Jim Lowe and Glenn Nelson and their special presentation on "The Revolutionary War Era in Blair County!" As its title suggests, this presentation will dive into the history of the American Revolution and the impact it had on the area that would become Blair County. Popular topics, such as the creation of Fort Roberdeau, will be explored alongside lesser-known accounts of this area's history during the era of our nation's founding. This lecture will take place over at the Railroaders Memorial Museum's newly-renovated theater room, and admission is FREE and open to the public. However, donations to the Blair County Historical Society are welcome!
We hope you join us for another fantastic local history presentation that ties in with America's 250th birthday!
